I would not be surprised in the least.

Probably because that was the state of maintained roads when it was new.

i think that i would be more impressed to have found people that were still willing to drive thier close to 100 year old cars and trucks THAT hard.......... one of us, indeed.........

Argument that it could actually just be us...

There are good ones and there are bad ones. This is an example of a bad one

Hey it is a T it’ll never die
![]() 07/20/2016 at 20:42 |

That’s how Model T owners are. Most of them do use their cars, tour with them, etc. There’s still a few hundred thousand of them on the road, almost every part is still available off the shelf, and the cars aren’t particularly valuable, so no reason not to. Plus, they are pretty tough.

yeah, still impressive 100 years out....... your number of them still on the road seems a bit optimistic, but id like to think you were right............
![]() 07/20/2016 at 20:51 |

It depends who you listen to, some T enthusiasts claim the survival rate is around 1 of every 250, the least optimistic figure I’ve ever seen pegs it at 100,000.

the 100,000 number seems about realistic for running moving solid examples. T cars, are some of those “special” cars that attract a certain rabid eccentric enthusiast........... not that it is a bad thing, but where there is one that runs, there might be 5 or 10 more in parts stashed in their garage took apart........... people that truly care about keeping things alive for others to enjoy.......

depends on how far your willing to go back

I’m half tempted to do this once I have my Fiat’s suspension reinstalled. I’ll bet I can reach a higher flex angle with it before lifting a tire than I’ll be able to pull off with my Xterra SE... would make for a fun experiment, just a little worried about shattering the rusted out floorboards or old connections to the unibody...

good thing my truck isn’t lifted and I take it plenty of places

As long a T doesn't pass you you're fine
